Two people were found dead in north Aurora Saturday morning, they were shot and their bodies found in an alleyway, police said.
Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a report of an unresponsive person lying on the ground near the intersection of East 22nd Avenue and Galena Street, the Aurora Police Department said in a Saturday morning tweet. Emergency responders determined the person was dead.
Police responded to the scene at 6:55 a.m. and a second person was found dead nearby. Homicide detectives are investigating both outdoor deaths. Both men, in their 20s, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe the victims, who were not identified Saturday, were shot elsewhere and their bodies dumped in an alley between Fulton and Galena streets, a news release said.
Evidence suggests the two men were known to each other. Investigators on Saturday afternoon did not have any information on a suspect, or suspects, in the case.
Anyone with information on the incident, or on a possible suspect, is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
