Queen Camilla refused to use a long-forgotten royal title for nearly 20 years, royal fans have recalled.
Camilla is turning 76 today, her first birthday since she and husband King Charles came to the throne after the late Queen Elizabeth died in September.
Back in May Her Majesty was officially crowned and was given the Queen title after her mother-in-law expressed her "sincere wish" for Camilla to use it.

It came as a stark change from 2005, when Charles and Camilla tied the knot.
Following the nuptials Buckingham Palace released a statement saying she would use an unprecedented title, Princess Consort, when her husband was appointed King.
In the same statement, issued almost 20 years ago, it was also confirmed Camilla would go by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.
This may have come as a surprise to some eagle-eyed royal fans, who spotted Charles' wife was eligible to a much more impressive-sounding title.
As her husband was the Prince of Wales, Camilla could technically have been referred to as the Princess of Wales.
However, as the last person to use the title was the late Princess Diana – Charles' ex-wife – it is thought Camilla chose not to use the title out of respect, as well as to avoid criticism from the public.

The Princess of Wales title remained unused until Prince William, formerly known as the Duke of Cambridge, took up the Prince of Wales title and passed the corresponding moniker onto his wife, Kate Middleton.
Unlike Camilla, Kate does go by Princess of Wales, but has also clung onto Camilla's former title, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Camilla's celebrations today have given royal fans the chance to look back on her life so far and remember some forgotten moments.
One such buried memory is that the now-Queen allegedly labelled Meghan Markle a “minx” who was unlikely to “sacrifice” her career to join the Royal Family.
Camilla and Meghan have not historically seen eye to eye, according to royal biographer Tom Bower, as the aristocratic Brit found the Californian “ungrateful”.
Speaking to the Sun, Mr Bower said: “She could comfort him that while his authority is challenged by the Sussexes, he would emerge victorious.
“During those inevitably endless, tortured and inconclusive conversations, Camilla is the sort who would refer to Meghan as ‘that minx’ — the self-seeking troublemaker whose antics will always end in tears.”
