Two people were shot overnight in Aurora, both victims are expected to survive and police are looking for suspects in the incidents.
The first shooting happened at about midnight in the area of East Colfax Avenue and Oswego Street, the Aurora Police Department said on Twitter. An 18-year-old pedestrian was shot in the lower back by someone in a passing vehicle. The victim arrived at the hospital independently without transport by an ambulance.
In the second incident, about 2:40 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a hospital on a report of a man who had been shot, police said. The victim, who was described as being “uncooperative with officers,” was shot in the arm.
Police determined he was in a car with several people when shot at an unknown location. He was driven to the hospital, dropped off and the other people left the area. A car with “multiple bullet holes” was found in the hospital parking lot and impounded as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police did not release information on suspects in either of the incidents.
