Paedo hunters catch teacher in ‘lewd’ act with disabled student in car park

A female teacher has been arrested after a sex act she allegedly performed with a disabled student was discovered by a vigilante neighbour.

Angela Stewart, who works at the Lighthouse Christian School in Florida, is facing a number of sex related charges after she was reportedly caught with the pupil in her car by a paedo-hunting friend of the alleged victim who lives nearby.

The woman, who didn't wish to be named, teamed up with the student's elderly parents and tracked down the pair with her mobile phone before spotting them in a car park on Saturday (May 20).

The woman told Fox30: "We were kind of surprised when we caught them.

"We went to St James Place Park looking for the teacher and student because we assumed they were together."

The neighbour added the student has "special needs".

Ms Stewart, 53, now faces a spate of accusations and will appear in court following her arrest.

The charges against her include being an authority figure who solicits or engages in lewd conduct with a student, lewd and lascivious behaviour with a person 12 or older but less than 16 years, and lewd and lascivious molestation.

She also faces a charge of unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Ms Stewart had her first court appearance in Duval County on Wednesday morning (May 24) where she said nothing.

The principal of the school where Ms Stewart worked said in a statement: "Upon learning this, Ms Stewart was sent home as quickly and quietly as possible so as not to upset the school day any more than necessary.

"I informed the investigating detective of our actions and reassured him she would remain off campus, away from students."

Ms Stewart is due to appear back in court on June 14.
