Cambridges ‘hungry to be seen as authentic choice’ for royal future, says expert

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are hoping to be seen as the "authentic choice" for the future of the Royal Family.

Amid rumours that Prince William is hoping to plant the Cambridge flag across the pond, one royal expert believes they are hoping to appear more relevant to the US market.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have spent considerable time in the United States and are set for a "learning curve" amid their "very creative" brand, royal expert Eric Schiffer claimed.

But expert Schiffer believes Will and Kate Middleton are "hungry" to be seen as the "authentic choice" and face of Royal Family relations in the United States.

Expert Schiffer told the Daily Star: "I think they're hungry to be seen as the authentic choice for the future of young people and certainly Americans.

"Right now, he's been less than relevant. I think the monarchy would like him to be more relevant."

The view Prince William holds of the United States is said to be "desperate", with one expert believing the Cambridge family are pursuing a PR boost in the United States.

Daily Star reported that the family considered the US an "essential asset" to the family.

Royal expert and commentator Omid Scobie said that the US had "long been fascinated with British royalty," and that interest in the family was "massively renewed" when Meghan married Harry.

Between the press for the Sussexes and lack of real coverage of Will and Kate's Caribbean tour, the Cambridge's are said to be hungry for a "PR boost".

Their next destination may be America, where William is allegedly "keen for his work to be seen".

Scobie added: "William is keen for his work to be seen and have impact outside of the UK and the royal bubble."
