Grandparents of boy who disappeared in Turkey urge daughter to ‘just come home’

The Brit grandparents of the four-year-old boy who has vanished with his mum in Turkey have urged their daughter to "just come home."

Brogan Elizabeth Temperley, 28, and her son George Jack Temperley-Wells are believed to have travelled to Antalya on June 29 before they both disappeared.

Durham Constabulary released an urgent appeal and said it has "serious concerns for his welfare" on Wednesday ( August 11).

Following the alarming call, grandparents Maureen and George, who lived alongside their granddaughter, have publically pleaded for their daughter to contact them.

As reported by the Daily Mail, retired Royal Navy diver George, 85, said: "We just want her to come home. She is frightened to death.

"She cannot lose her child again. It would be too cruel."

Mr Temperley said Brogan met George's dad, Scott Wells when he was living in Darlington and she was employed at a local estate agents.

He added that the pair had a fractured relationship and broke up before their son was born and Scott, who is English, moved away from the area.

According to Mr Temperley, Brogan developed an issue with drugs shortly after becoming a mother.

"The baby has to be taken off her while she went into rehab and was in care for about a year," he said.

"She was allowed to visit and every time she saw him she was heartbroken."

The mum was reunited with her four-year-old after she received treatment for her problems.

The businessman added: "She absolutely doted on him. Everywhere she went he went, except when he was at nursery playing with his friends."

Mr Temperley said he had given his daughter a home that he owned in the area, which he and his wife Maureen, visited to see their granddaughter and great grandson.

However, the 85-year-old has not seen either of them for two months after she told him that she was going to see her friends in her hometown in the Midlands.

Mr Temperley continued: "We had no idea she was in Turkey or that her ex partner was in Turkey until all this came up. Her friends were stunned.

"I have never met this fellow Wells and wish she had never met him. They were very bad for each other. If I was still boxing I would knock him out.

"I cannot believe she would have gone to Turkey so he could spend time with his son. In fact, I don't believe it. There must be some other explanation."

Maureen, 78, stressed: "We love her to bits but she is driving us nuts not knowing where she is. We are a very close family.

"Her and Mr Wells have not been in a relationship for years so we have not got a clue why she would go to Turkey to see him."

It has been reported that George was last spotted in the Marina area of Antalya, where two of these pictures were captured.

"Police have serious concerns for his welfare and need to urgently locate George and speak with his mother," said Durham Constabulary.

"Anyone who is in contact with her is asked to encourage her to contact the authorities in Turkey or the UK immediately to confirm her whereabouts and/or seek assistance to return home."
