Woman’s arm brutally savaged by giant beast yards from where dog killed boy, 3

A dog attack savagely ripped a woman's arm open just yards from where a boy has been tragically killed, .

Greater Manchester Police confirmed a three-year-old boy was mauled to death by a dog at a farm on Carr Lane in Milnrow near Rochdale, on Sunday.

Kia Walker reacted to the news on Facebook to say she was bitten by a dog on the same lane when she was 17. A couple of other women who asked to remain anonymous also told the Daily Star of their terrifying ordeals.

There is no suggestion that the dog that sank its teeth into Kia's right arm is the same one to have killed the as yet unidentified toddler on Sunday.

As a footpath runs through the farm where the fatal attack is suspected to have unfolded, locals claim to have seen a wide range of "scary" dogs when walking past the land.

Kia claims the beast that set upon her was a Tibetan mastiff, a breed which can weigh close to 11stone.

The hairdresser Kia Walker, now 19, told MailOnline: "I was on a public footpath. The gate was open and the two dogs came out and that's when they attacked me. There were two Tibetan Mastiffs.

"I didn't drop the investigation. I was told there wasn't enough evidence."

Paramedics were initially called to the farm at around 1pm on Sunday (May 15) and found the youngster outside with serious injuries.

"It makes me really sad to be honest. Let's hope it doesn't happen to anyone else."

Another claimed she was bitten on the ankle but no action was taken.

A third recalled being scared of two towering great Danes. She said: "They would try to climb over the wall to get to who ever was walking past them."
