Royal Family ‘anxious’ over what ‘impetuous’ Harry might say in memoir – expert

Potential new revelations in Prince Harry's upcoming memoir will have the Royal Family feeling "anxious", Princess Diana's biographer has claimed.

Stewart Pearce told Us Weekly the late People's Princess would be hugely proud of her youngest son for his instinct-driven approach to life as a Windsor.

He said: "Harry is so much like his mother in the sense that he has an impetuosity.

“He moves on instinct just as she did.”

Pearce noted Diana's more blunt and straightforward side – as was seen in her infamous Panorama interview in 1995 – is now starting to become evident in Harry, too.

He added: “Diana was gleeful about the statements that she made during those interviews.

“Sometimes I would say, ‘Are you really going to engage yourself in that?'

"And she’d say, ‘Yeah, I’ve got to!’ and would do it.”

Prince Harry's new honesty, Pearce explained, may also have some royals feeling a little nervous.

Harry teased his book as written from the perspective "not as the prince I was born but as the man I've become".

Pearce said the Windsors may have reason to be fearful about the potential revelations or gossip that could be levelled against senior family members in the 2022 book.

He said: “I’m sure that they’re probably feeling slightly anxious."

But he added Harry is keen to keep his head above the parapet.

Pearce predicted: “There won’t be anything in terms of accusation, not at all.

“He’s in a situation of transformation.”

A Palace source told Us Weekly last month the Royal Family was "shaken up" by news of Harry's book, having not been warned about its existence or announcement.

The source told the magazine the royals are keenly anticipating its release.

“They haven’t received a copy yet and don’t know what to expect.

“It’s making them nervous.”

The Palace has been approached for comment.
