Police in Northern Ireland have launched a double murder investigation after three bodies were found in Newtownabbey.

The bodies were found at two different addresses after police were called to an incident on Friday, March 19.

Officers were initially called to an address on Derrycoole Way just after 10.55pm after reports of a stabbing.

Police attended with paramedics from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service but sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also attended a second scene in the Glenville Road area where an unconscious man was found.

Despite first aid treatment the man died soon afterwards.

When searching the property another female was found dead. Police believe the two incidents are connected and they are not searching for anyone else in connection to the events.
