Full list of lockdown tiers confirmed – all areas in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3

The government’s full list of lockdown tiers for specific areas in England have been finally been published.

When the national lockdown ends on December 2, each area will have to adhere to local restrictions.

This is similar to the tier system from October, but Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that more places would be in the higher tiers.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock put forward the list in Commons earlier this morning, on November 26.

However, he explained that the list would be under regular review, depending on five factors, including how quickly coronavirus rates are rising or falling.

Many areas are in England will be in the Tier 2 or Tier 3 category – and only three will be in Tier 1 when the system kicks in.
