A rapist attacked a woman as she sunbathed on a secluded Spanish beach popular with nudists, according to reports.
The sickening assault happened at a tourist hotspot near the seaside resort of Mazarron in south east Spain.
A couple rushed to help the “desperate” victim who screamed for help as the predator struck.
One of the Good Samaritans told local paper La Verdad de Murcia: “When we came level with the cove from the mountain side, we saw there was a man and a woman on the sand.
“As we walked down towards the beach, we began to hear crying and shouts of desperation.
“The woman kept on saying, ‘I’ve been raped.’”
Police took the 52-year-old Spanish victim to hospital.
She suffered injuries in the brutal attack.
The witness said they tried to comfort the distraught woman.
They added: “We spent a long time with her while we waited for police to arrive.
“She said she had gone down to the beach to have a dip in the sea and sunbathe and the man approached her while she was there, pushed her towards an area where there were stones and then raped her.”
It happened near one of the coves at Bolnuevo called Cala Desnuda – which in English means Naked Cove.
Local reports said the suspect, a North African-looking man aged around 30, stole the victim’s purse and phone after preying on her.
He was aged around 30 and wore a hat, short trousers and a brown T-shirt.
The incident happened around 1pm on August 29 but has only just been made public.
Cala Desnuda is an idyllic cove west of Bolnuevo.
It can only be reached on foot via a coastal track.
It is a popular nudist beach frequented by locals and foreign holidaymakers.
