At least four people were stabbed and one hospitalised after a mass brawl broke out on a major Birmingham street.
Emergency services rushed to Great Hampton Street in the city's Jewellery Quarter in the early hours of this morning after reports of a major bust-up.
One man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after he was knifed.
Police today said "at least" four people had suffered stab injuries in the violent disorder, which is thought to have involved up to 15 people.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We received several reports of a disorder at 4.40am today (22 Aug) around Great Hampton Street, near Vyse Street, in Birmingham.

"It's understood up to 15 people may have been involved. At least four people suffered stab injuries, including one man who is seriously ill in hospital.
"One man aged 24 has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remains in police custody.
