London's Tower Bridge is stuck in the open position due to a fault – with traffic at a gridlock in the area.
The iconic bridge's arms, known as bascules, lifted open to let the vessel pass, but then failed to close properly.
Pedestrians have shared photos of the bridge on social media, with one person saying one side started to come down but the other didn't.
In another tweet they added: "So have been stood under a raised tower bridge for 15 mins now, hearing rumours it’s stuck!"
Traffic is also said to be at a standstill in both directions, with Jambuster warning drivers to "expect delays".
The bridge has previously had similar problems.
In 2005, police closed the crossing for 10 hours after a technical problem prevented the arms from being lowered.
