A man who had just become a new dad has been beaten to death in a brawl outside a Wetherspoons pub.
Tragic Reece Cox, 24, was caught up in a fight which erupted outside the Clifton pub in Sedgley, West Midlands, late on Saturday.
He suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police urged the public not to share footage of the fight, which was circulating on social media, Birmingham Live reports.
Tributes online called the dead man a "hero".
One post said: “RIP Reece. Your baby will be taught what a real man his dad was. You’re in a better place.”
A second post read: “RIP Reece Cox, you are a hero, fly high.”
Another said: “Rest in peace bro. Will never be forgotten, condolences to your loved ones.”
A fourth echoed: “RIP mate, will be sadly missed.”
West Midlands Police have yet to officially name the victim and no arrests have been made.
Det Insp Laura Harrison said: "Our thoughts are with the family of this young man who has sadly lost his life.
“We are in the early stages of our investigations but we understand he may have tried to intervene in a fight when he was fatally injured.

"I believe the community of Sedgley will respond as we appeal for anyone we have not yet spoken with and who may information about what happened last night to get in touch with us."
Anyone who does have images of the incident is urged to pass them on to detectives as soon as possible.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We would also like to speak to anyone who has any information which might help our investigation.”
