Denver Outlaws’ Dan Bucaro named Major League Lacrosse’s Warrior Rookie of the Year – The Denver Post

Denver Outlaws’ Dan Bucaro on Thursday was named Major League Lacrosse’s Warrior Rookie of the Year.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound attackman tallied 15 points (13 goals and two assists) during Denver’s truncated five-game regular season. Bucaro led all MLL rookies in points and assists. He also had three goals and an assist in the Outlaws’ loss to Boston in the MLL championship game. It was Denver’s seventh championship game appearance in the last nine seasons — they won three of them.

Originally drafted by Denver with the ninth pick in the first round of the 2019 draft, Bucaro missed the 2019 season with an injury.

He is the fourth player in team history to win the award, joining attackman Dan Hardy (2009), goalie Jack Kelly (2016) and attackman Chris Cloutier (2018).
